Veluwe Bicycle Tour

We completed the fourth annual bicycle tour July 24-26; this time from Delft through the Veluwe region ending in Nunspeet. Our largest group ever: 13 bicyclists! We covered 222 km, camping by Houten the first night, and by Apeldoorn the second night. Haye selected a route that maximized time in the forested areas of the Veluwe. It is really a beautiful area of the country and we got to climb and descend a few nice 100m high hills! We had two tire failures that required new tire purchases along the way and rain caused a slump in morale for a bit on the final day. We ended with a view of the Veluwe from the Nunspeet viewing tower.

The GPX recorded route: Delft -> Houten -> Apeldoorn -> Nunspeet.

We had thirteen riders at the max!

Joris stated that his bike couldn't possibly break any more the day before the ride.

Enjoying cold Albert Heijn food under the Veluwe sky.

Somewhere in the groene hart.

Haye routed us through many fun dirt trails. Rain added an extra adventure component.
