SymPy 1.13 and Opty 1.3 can now be used for optimal control solutions of muscle-driven biomechanical simulation. This blog post shows of a solution to a muscle driven cycling time trial.

Summary of the work performed under the Chan-Zuckerberg Foundation Open Source Software for Science Cycle 4 grant awarded to Sympy and performed by Delft University of Technology. We developed new biomechanics capabilities in SymPy and improved code generation performance for large mathematical expressions.
